November 25, 2017 marks the 4th annual Be A Took 5k Elf Run. Proceeds from the event go toward the purchase of materials for the Neighborhood Rehab Project, serving neighbors in need by helping to make their homes warm, dry and safe.
The Elf Run happens on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, also known as Small Business Saturday -- which is a pretty big deal in Golden, CO. Before the shopping starts though, Elves will meet under the "Howdy Folks" arch on Washington Street and hit the route at 8:30. At the finish line, they will be greeted with hot coffee, chocolate, and pancakes.
The fastest elves will be awarded with medals, the best-dressed elves will win gift certificates, and everyone will have a chance to participate in drawings for prizes from some of our favorite spots in Golden.
While elf attire isn't required, it is encouraged. The Be A Took 5k Elf Run is a family event. Whether you have a baby in a stroller, or your not so much a runner as a stroller, don't miss the chance to get into the holiday spirit alongside our band of Be A Tool elves.
Click here to register for the 5k Elf Run, open 'til November 22. But don't wait. The first 200 entries receive a fashionable elf hat. All pre-registered elves get a commemorative t-shirt and a goody bag.
