Helping Golden, CO Residents
Stay Warm, Safe, and Dry Year-Round
BE A TOOL
1,100+ volunteers working throughout Golden, Arvada, Idaho Springs, and Englewood, CO addressing warm, dry, and safe needs within families and individual homes. We invite homeowners into a dignified process that enables them to be involved addressing their household needs, learning maintenance skills, and building community relationships.
NEED A TOOL?
It is our vision to empower volunteers and homeowners to work together for the betterment of our community. This happens through service, skill development, and a strong focus on relational development. “Be a Tool” projects happen throughout the year at different locations, but one day a year we host a multi-city Day of Service. If you or someone you know needs our help, please click the button below to get in touch.
SUPPORT OUR MISSION
Neighborhood Rehab Project is celebrating 10 years of service during the pandemic! Persisting through the uncertainty of COVID19 meant downsizing our annual day of service in 2020, distributing volunteer days across 3 months to continue helping homeowners stay warm/dry/safe through it all. If you didn’t get a chance to join us this year, you can still get a t-shirt or offer a year-end gift below. We greatly appreciate any amount! Be sure to sign up for the newsletter to stay up to date on days of service for 2021 and other ways you can be involved. Can’t wait to see you in the new year!
Improving Safe Access to Homes
Thanks to the Rotary Club of Golden and First Presbyterian Church of Golden, we were able to install two ramps last summer. Teamwork truly makes the dream work. Please consider donating to NeighborHood Rehab Project.
We help homeowners maintain safe, reliable access to their homes through ramp construction and deck repair. These improvements are essential for individuals with mobility challenges, ensuring the ability to enter and exit homes with confidence. By addressing structural issues and accessibility needs, we support independence, prevent injuries, and create safer living environments for our neighbors.

Team 17.4: Best of Human Systems
“This is a significant accomplishment, with over 80 teams presenting at the showcase, and all scoring conducted by external subject matter expert judges. We couldn't have done it without your transformative vision for the GHCC and the support and access you provided, which went above and beyond what many clients offer.”

We continue to work with Jefferson County Public Health JCPH, doing repairs to homes including roofs, windows, furnaces, insulation and skirting.
OUR STORY
The Neighborhood Rehab Project, known as “Be A Tool,” is dedicated to building partnerships that bring people together to create lasting, positive change in our communities. We do this by connecting cities, local governments, churches, service clubs, businesses, and residents to work toward shared goals.
Our vision is to empower volunteers and homeowners to collaborate for the betterment of their neighborhoods through hands-on service, skill-building, and meaningful relationships. While “Be A Tool” projects take place year-round in various locations, each year we also host a volunteer Day-of-Service where it’s all hands on deck. Many of our amazing volunteers return year after year because it’s highly rewarding to work together as a team to make a real difference in people’s lives, providing warm, safe, and dry home repairs for those in need. You might be surprised by how much can be accomplished in a single Day of Service.
