Overview

The Golden Hills Community Cooperative, a resident‐owned community in Golden, Colorado, is partnering with the Neighborhood Rehab Project to develop an income‐qualified affordable home for a local individual or family. This initiative includes the construction of a first‐of‐its‐kind, high‐efficiency prototype home built on a permanent foundation and heated/cooled using a ground‐source (geothermal) heat pump system. This project is designed to demonstrate innovative, sustainable housing that remains affordable for Golden residents, while strengthening the long‐term stability of the Golden Hills cooperative community
