Ramp Installation

Volunteers / Organization: Rotary Club of Golden & First Presbyterian Church of Golden

Services: Accessibility Ramp Building

Date: April 2024

Keri was out of her home for months, unable to climb the stairs, and had to stay with a relative while she waited for a safe way to return. What might have felt like an overwhelming situation quickly became a community effort. Be A Tool super volunteer Stan stepped in and thoughtfully designed a plan to make her dream of getting back into her home a reality.

The momentum continued to build the day before construction began, when Golden City Councilman Don joined forces with John from First Pres. to set the posts for the new deck. Their early work laid the foundation—literally and figuratively—for the rest of the project. Together, a dedicated group of volunteers turned a difficult circumstance into a powerful example of neighbors coming together to restore both a home and a sense of independence.
